Apply > FAFSA

The FAFSA. An important first step.

To apply for grants, loans and work-study through Federal Student Aid Programs, you’ll want to fill out a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The FAFSA is available online at www.fafsa.gov.

After completing the FAFSA, you will receive a Student Aid Report (SAR). Your college uses the SAR to determine the amount of federal grants, loans, and work-study for which you may be eligible. Remember to:

Keep track of any preliminary deadlines for the FAFSA and ask about any additional deadlines set by your college’s financial aid office.

Check the status of your FAFSA application at www.fafsa.gov.
